The Federal Election

Am I going to vote? Honestly, I don't really know. I didn't vote last year but that was because I didn't get a voting card but I guess it really wasn't that important since I didnt do anything about it anyways. I don't even know that much about the election besides the fact that every news station is putting down Stephen Harper so I guess he's not really doing his job. On the other hand, I really like Jack Layton because he seems for the people and knows how to speak to us and not at us. The only issue that I am really concerned about is welfare. The federal party seems to complain about the budget that is lacking but if they were to have stricter rules about welfare and actually look into the families instead of approving everyone who applies then there would be A LOT more money for the budget.

    I was reading your comments here. I think you've made a lot of good points. Especially, the effect that politicians can make when they "knows how to speak to us and not at us".

    I also really like Jack Layton. I have decided that I might take part in the election by voting for the first time. It is very important for these politicians to communicate with the people they are trying to get their point across too. We need to believe that he/she can truly make a change.
